OER Basics

OER Basics In-Person

Did you know? March 3-7, 2025 is Open Education Week! Celebrate by attending an OER event at PCC or choose from any of the events taking place around the globe

Title: OER Basics
Description: Have you ever asked yourself, “What are open educational resources and where do I find them?” Then, this session is for you. You will learn what exactly makes something an “open educational resource” (OER) and then practice searching for OER on a topic of your choice. Support staff who help create instructional or promotional materials of any kind (ppts, worksheets, videos, images, etc.) can benefit greatly from knowing about OER and what is available. You will find that OER encompasses so much more than “free textbooks.”

Audience: PCC Faculty and Support Staff (Full & Part-Time – All are welcome!)
